Description

A fairly simple design (that I still spent too much time on, because the best way to get a good low poly object is to do the triangles manually.) Like most of my vase mode designs, you'll want to pay attention to the number of bottom layers.

Prints in vase mode; needs 1.2mm of bottom layers, so 6 bottom layers at 0.2mm layer height.

The bottom layers allow it to have a little ‘hook’ built in. It helps to use a bent paperclip, toothpick, etc. to fish the string out on the other side. (The 1.2mm of bottom layers is partially to help give this strength, and partially because 1.2mm is easily divisible by most common layer heights.)

I recommend printing with a brim (outside only)! (I recommend against an adhesive for this one, but if you use it you'll want to avoid putting any pressure on the body of the icicle at all for bed removal.)

I have also included a version with a solid bottom, in case you want to try something different.
