Description
GoPro mount for backpacks. This particular design is intended to be used with the Molle System, but it should work with any backpack with a 24mm strap.
This version is the Tight Slip in/out. It has a slightly longer segment than the Easy Slip version. It still allows an easy mount/dismount from the strap, but it has a better grip to it without sliding out as easily when clockwise twisting movements occurs.
There are two models Landscape and Portrait that rotate the orientation of the mount. The name is for identification mostly, it takes the mount positioned in the shoulder strap as reference for it.
IMPORTANT:
The thread on the original knob has only 19mm of exposed thread at the end, this model requires at least 22mm to get a proper grip. Sorry for that, I was aiming for sturdiness not a drop-in replacement.
In my case I'm using a M5x30 Hex head bolt tightened with this knob that has a Ruthex M5 brass insert at the end.
Only caution you need to have is with the hexagonal hole for the nut/bolt. If your bridging or supports are not on spot you could have some fitting issues.
UPDATE: Current model allows for a 70~80º angle when mounted vertically. Depending where you mount it can end up not being enough, ie: Mounted flat on the front of a vest could end up pointing to the ground below the horizon line. I'm working on a v2 model that would allow a wider angle (aiming for <90º) of adjustment.
