Description
This simple plate holds a 4x6 cm perforated board for an electronic circuit. It is slightly wider than the 4mm. It uses two strain relief caps to secure up to four wires. I used four M2 screws that were “6mm”, but you can probably use as short as “4mm” to mount the circuit board. The strain relief caps each use an M2 10mm screw. You will need two M2 nuts for the strain relief caps, the four screws hold the perforated board quite well without the nuts. If you plan to remove the circuit board from the mounting plate many times, you will probably want to use M2 nuts for mounting the plate.
This mounting plate was designed to attach to a frame with zip ties, so there are slots at each end. You could put screws in those slots to mount this plate instead, or you could use long M2 screws instead of the 6mm ones.
If you screw the caps on super tight, it can damage the insulation of the wires. You probably do not need it that tight to get adequate strain relief.
I printed the plate without supports, but you will have to clean out the holes. The caps, I printed upside down, no supports.
