Description
This is a disk sander I made from an old Seagate BarraCuda 1TB HDD Drive.
Just remove everything from the HDD until there's only the motor and the original mirror-looking disk with the data on it left. then unscrew the disc and mount this printed part in its place. you can then stick some sandpaper onto it with some thin double-sided tape.
I'm driving the motor using a 4s Lipo as a power source (around 16V), a Brushless RC Plane ESC with 12A and a servo tester to regulate the speed.
works well for smaller things like sharpening knife blades or tiny wooden pieces but it doesn't have lots of power so don't expect it to be sanding down your table or anything.
