Description
I needed to build an articulated camera mount for a Raspberry Pi Stop Motion Rig project. I wanted something simple and cheap so I designed these hinges to fit standard 1/2"x24" Basswood pieces available at any hobby store. I designed them to fit the #10-24x3/4" screws I happened to have on hand. I also included guides to manage the camera's ribbon cable.
In my case, I bought a $3.00 basswood piece from Hobby Lobby and cut it into (2) 12" pieces. I glued these hinges on and slipped my camera cable through the included slots and now I have a fully articulated camera mount that is easily adjusted with the thumb screws.
These parts can be mixed and matched so thought I would post my things in case they helped anyone else create an articulated camera mount for their own Raspberry Pi camera projects.
