Description

This is a set of faucet aerator (perlator) keys, designed for removing faucet aerators to clean or replace them. These aerator keys are specifically designed for hidden or "cache" aerators, which can be difficult to remove without the right tool. The set includes 4 different standard sizes: M16.5, M18.5, M21.5, and M24.

How to Use

  1. Measure the faucet diameter and select the right tool size from the table above.
  2. Unscrew the aerator counterclockwise from the faucet.
  3. Clean or replace the aerator as needed.
  4. Screw the new or cleaned aerator back into the faucet.

Printing and Material Information

The models in the pictures were printed on Bambu Lab X1 using Prusament Marble Grey PLA and Prusament Galaxy Black PLA, which worked perfectly for me. One of my aerators was particularly difficult to unscrew, and I wasn't able to remove it with the official tool that came with the faucet. However, I was able to remove it easily using the PLA printed key. If you need a stronger tool, you may consider using ABS or ASA, especially if the aerator is tightly screwed due to residue. I’ve only tested with PLA, and it worked flawlessly.

Note that I’ve personally tested the M18.5 and M21.5 sizes, as these are the ones I have available. Please let me know in the comments if the tool works for the M24 and M16.5 sizes in your case.

Multicolored print is of course not neccessary, but I used color painting fill tool in Bambu Studio to color the logo and sizes in order to make them nicer.

Contributions and Feedback

Your feedback is highly appreciated! If you’ve used this tool, please share your experience in the comments, especially if you’ve tested the M16.5 or M24 sizes. If you need any adjustments, such as different wall thicknesses, tool diameters, pin counts, or have other wishes, feel free to let me know in the comments. My model design is parameterised, so I can easily make changes.
