Description
I loved this original design, and immediately thought it would be a great way to hold my tools, but it took a while to get the knowledge and skills to be able to modify it to fit, and to be properly printable.
I built this to work with the Tamiya RC Toolset (#74085), but I'm confident that it will work for the Tamiya Builder's 8pc Screwdriver Set (#74023).
In the end I opted to keep the bust unmodified and model the handles independently and use them as a negative volume within the slicer. This made it easier to adjust positioning on the fly, and means that you can use those to make holders from other things, if you like. I also opted to make a cylindrical void in the bottom, both to save a little filament, and provide a space to add some ballast in case it was unstable. It turned out to be perfectly stable without.
I printed with:
Now time for some paint!
I have now included a gcode, because I like to be able to see the detail on model pages. It worked for me, on my printer, it may not work for you. I always recommend slicing your own version.
N.B. The negative volumes are visible in the 3D viewer on the listing, obviously they will be cavities when printed.
