Description
We lost the food pusher for our rotary grater, so I made a new one. This is it, it works well.
Update 20-01-2025: We recently found the original pusher - this one is closer to the blade than the original and so ends up with less “ungrated stuff” between the pusher and the blade, so we mainly use this one now, and keep the original in case this one gets lost.
If you're wondering if it will fit your particular rotary grater, check the images for the one that lists relevant places to check measurements.
Because this will be in contact with food, I used the “food safe” PLA available from 3D Fillies, which complies “with Australian and FDA food-grade standards”.
I'm not expecting it to be exposed to high temperatures, and I'll be hand washing it in the sink rather than putting it in the dishwasher, so the PLA will be fine for this purpose. If you have other requirements you may like to consider some other material.
If it matters particularly, I printed in 0.2mm layers with 10% infill using the grid infill pattern, 3 walls and randomised seam alignment (if you can use the 3MF file it should have all of this embedded in the profile).
