Description
Upgraded fan impeller for Broan Nutone exhaust ventilators, Or other applications.
The standard fans are designed to run in either direction, at a lower cost sacrificing efficiency and sound. These typically provide 50 cfm of exhausted volume without connected plumbing. Ventilators are typically plumbed using flexible tubing and bends, which adds restriction to the airflow. One 90° bend is the same restriction as 15 meters (52 feet) of straight tubing. Therefore the rated volume and actual vary considerably.
My new impeller offers airfoil shaped blades, both higher pressure with similar volume versus the Broan fan. The increased pressure allows the air to be pushed through larger plumbing resistance, increasing the volume of the exhaust ventilator.
Can be scaled to fit almost any application from a dryer vent to a hair dryer.
Printed in PLA, 0.1-0.2LH, 30-50% Cubic infill, 4 walls, no supports needed
Standard hole design can be adjusted for motor shaft size.
Slotted shaft design is designed for 4.5mm (3/16") shafts.
Both Clockwise [CW] and Counter Clockwise [CCW] rotations are provided. See image for ran rotation.
I added the Version 1 folder of older models. They are non-airfoil shaped blades and the impeller is heavier.
