Linkable Mini Waste Bag Holder - MFT-3, Skadis and wall mount

January 9, 2025
Description
This is a small waste bag holder for use with the linkable tool holders that I have previously published. I also added the frame as step if you want to remix it to something else - a removable tray, battery holder, used batteries etc.
These models are based on an initial concept from Wiha, but is modelled from scratch, adding compatibility with MFT-3 and Ikea Skadis as well as changing the screw hole dimensions for allowing machine screws. Check out http://www.tlbx3d.com for additional great holders in the same system. These will not link to the MFT-3, but will still work together if you plan to have it on the wall.
Flexible Mounting Options
The holders can be mounted directly on the wall, on the MFT-3 T-slot and on IKEA Skadis (Skådis) pegboard.
Wall mounting
Use regular wood screws. The holes will fit up to 5mm screws with screw head diameter up to 9.4mm. Example with other variant shown below:
MFT-3 Mounting
For use with the MFT-nut, a M5 x 16mm socket cap screw will fit perfectly with a nut on the backside. Remember to use the remixed MFT-nut with 19.5mm length. Example with other variant shown below:
IKEA Skadis (Skådis) pegboard
Use the attached Skadis adapter and a M4 x 10mm machine screw for mounting directly to the IKEA Skadis. Example with other variant shown below:
Other models
Check this model for an overview over the available holders in the same system:

All models can be interlinked, allowing for a nice looking tool storage with flexible mounting options. All holders from version 2.0 can be attached to the Festool MFT-3.

Printing notes
Have had very good results with either Protopasta Matte fiber HTPLA or Add:North HT-PLA Pro Matte. Prints well without support, but in some cases supports can be used to avoid artifacts in the mounting holes. Does not require any special infill and I have usually used 15% infill.
Add your color of preference to the frame for a nice look.
