Description
I wanted to print the ECAS insert in TPE and when I tried the originals they were too small and the walls were too thin. So I basically copied the design and made it larger, with a small interference fit since it is made of TPE and is flexible to hold the tube better. To assemble press insert onto the filament tube first and then press insert into the cavity for the ECAS.
I printed four of them so that there was adequate time for cooling. It takes very little filament.
I should be printed with a 0.4 mm nozzle, with at least 4 walls so that there is no infill.
Update - the first plugs I made were still too loose, so the Mod 1 are tighter and worked better with the TPE. I left the original because it may work with PETG.
