Description
To measure the frequency response of in-ear headphones, you need a precise measuring microphone (in my case a TM1 from Audix), a sound card, software (e.g. REW or Opensoundmeter) and an adapter to position the in-ears correctly. This 3D printed part is the adapter so that the in-ear headphones can be placed at a constant distance from the microphone.
I decided to make the adapter myself using the 3D printing process.
After printing, an O-ring with an inner diameter of 4 mm and a thickness of 1.8 mm can be inserted into the front of the 3D printed part.
Alternatively, something like this would be an inexpensive solution, but I have not tested it:
