Heavy Tape Dispenser (One Hand Operation)

Description

This is a heavy tape dispenser, If you have never used one, a heavy tape dispenser allows you to pull tape from it using only one hand while the other is free to hold the thing you want to secure in place.

The dispenser is designed for tape up to 1 inch wide.

Printing

None of the parts require supports and it is a very easy model to print.

Layer height has very little importance but 0.2 or 0.15 (even better) does make it look nicer.

Highly recommend using scarf joint since the outside of the model is completely smooth and there is nowhere to hide the seam.

Printed parts needed are 

• 1 dispenser body
• 1 plug
• 2 pins
• 1 spindle

The dispenser fits on the Prusa mini as well as The Bambu lab A1 mini…and obviously all other bigger printers.

Non printed parts

• Blade:  The design was made for a 1/2 inch hacksaw blade. just find an old one and cut a piece to the length of the slot. If you have nothing to cut it with, it is pretty easy to brake one at the desired location with couple of pairs of pliers or with the help of a vice. • Rubber feet/cabinet bumpers:   You will need these, or anything similar to keep the dispenser from sliding around as you pull the tape. • Something to fill it with:  You will need something to fill it with. Dry sand works great but anything will do, the heavier the better. Make sure you get as much as you can in. Hold the dispenser at different angles and tap it lightly as you fill it to pack it down.

Assembly

No glue or anything special required.

• Fill the body.
• Screw on the plug.
• Cut and insert your blade.
• Stick on your rubber feet or anti-slip surface of choice on the bottom.
• Insert the pins in the spindle

   And you're done !
