Description
Salt shakers from WMF exist now for several decades and the design of their lids hasnt changed at all. But the plastic the lids are made of degrades and gets brittle over time whilst the glas bodies last virtually forever. Thus, a spare lid was the obvious thing to 3D-print. Choose a color that matches your dining room environment. The threads work well but they will wear off if the salt isnt cleaned off at each refill, since salt is still harder than plastic.
How to print: Lay the part upside down in the slicer - there is no support needed. A smooth print bed surface looks good - a rough one works as well. Choose a high nozzle temperature to ensure good layer adhesion, as this part is under mechanical stress when mounted on the shaker.
