Neptune 3 / 4 Series Cable Chain

update(jan 24, 2025): 4pro is currently incompatible with the section ZMount<>Extruder cause it a very different mounting plate - just follow the recommended path! 

This chain system is trying to overcome some shortcommings of the original Chain system for the Neptune 4 Series. There are Adapter-chainlinks available so you can mix and match the old and new system if you like.

Printing Recommendations

• Material: PETg or ASA/ABS 
• Slicer Orca, Wall Generator Arachne
• Linewidth/layerheight: 0.4/0.2
• 3 Wall, 5 toplayer, 3 Bottom layer
  • For weightsaving 2 / 4 / 3 is ok(10% weight saving across the system)
• 6-10% Infill Honeycomb or Gyroid
• Arachne “min wall width” 75%
• Wallorder: inner/outer/inner
• Support required for Z-Mount, Sidesupport. normal supports, from buildplate only
• Chainlink Count
  • N4/Pro: 21 bottom, 5 Sidesupport<>ZMount, 18 to extruder
  • N4 Max: 35 bottom, 5 Sidesupport<>ZMount, 30 to extruder
• try to avoid Brim use for chainlinks - may require significant cleanup
• assembly requires glue!!
