About Window Bird Feeder Hexagon

A hexagonal window-mounted bird feeder, combines form and function with its six-sided design. The shape provides excellent stability, creating an intimate viewing experience as birds visit just inches from your window.

Winter bird feeding is vital for local bird survival when natural food sources become scarce under snow and ice. Birds need extra calories to maintain body temperature during cold months, making reliable feeders an important lifeline that helps strengthen the connection between you and wildlife.

Files include adapter for IKEA TISKEN Hook with suction cup but I'm pretty sure you can easily adapt it to almost any other suction cup hook / mount of your choice.

 

What mechanical parts do I need to put this together?

There are 2 versions of adapters included in files - one for 2 x M3x8 self tapping screws and 2 x M3x4 heat set insets and simpler one with narrower holes in case of you want to use 2 x M3x8 screws only.

* Inserts are optional - use TISKEN adapter version with bigger holes in case if you want more versatile and long standing build. In most of the cases mounting with M3 screws tapped straight into plastic should be enough.

 

What size is this stuff?

Hexagon radius is 105mm, you can print this project without scaling it down on any FDM printer with bed size of 210 x 210mm or up.
