Description
Have a heavy or wobbly monitor that you want to stabilize or raise off your desk? What about a VESA mount monitor arm or two? Then here's a print that will allow you to connect up to 2 VESA mounts to a monitor! The extender plate is designed to allow for two monitor arms to connect to the normal VESA mounting backing on a monitor, and fits on a regular Prusa MK2/3/4 bed (115mm x 230 mm x 10mm overall dimensions).
The printed hole patterns should be strong enough on their own to hold a monitor with standard M4 mounting bolts, but for a heavy load or just for added strength, hex nut insertions are also available! The M4 lengths you will need are dependent on your VESA mounting plates. For reference, in my make of this above, I have 8 M4x12mm bolts each through a washer and an inserted hex nut to affix the plate to the monitor arms, and then 4 M4x25mm to connect the plate to the monitor.
This print could also be used with a single arm for stabilization, or to raise a monitor up beyond the regular height of the arms. Just be careful in doing so - any risk you take in using this print is purely your own.
