Description
Just recently decided I would like to see more birds about the place, so I threw some time and bird feed at the problem and we'll see how it goes.
The design does call for a bit of macrame (the rope holding it all up), and as I'm no expert I would defer to the vast store of knowledge available on YouTube and similar platforms.
Macrame Minimums
The very basics. Three 150cm strands of cord and a loop of some sort. Add another 20cm per additional section.
Thread the three strands through the loop and collect all six ends and pull them taught to center them in the loop. Take a pair of cords and tie an overhand knot about 30cm down from the loop. Repeat for the remaining two pairs.
Another 20cm down take two adjoining strands and tie a second overhand knot. Repeat this for the remaining two pairs.
15cm down from the second set of knots, secure the ends with a wrapping knot and you're done!
Print Settings
These parts are designed to use a few solid layers on the bottom and then a continuous and unbroken profile all the way up the part. Prusa and Slic3r call this vase mode, while Cura calls it spiralize.
