Many people have struggled printing softer materials on the K2 plus due to the extruder chewing up these materials. Upon investigation, my belief is that the is, at least partially, caused by the spring in the extruder being too tight. I replaced the spring with a much softer one of the same dimensions and found significantly improved soft filament printing. For me, hard filaments also printed fine, but others found that it was now too weak to print harder filaments. As such, we should want to have tunable tension, and that is what this will provide.
Print this little piece and put it into the spring, then use an m3 bolt 8 or 10 mm in length (I used 8 mm) and screw it into the side. This will allow controlling the tension, making it tighter for hard materials, and looser for soft materials.
The spring I used is the 0.6x6x15 spring in this kit https://amzn.to/40D6JnN
