Description
Magnetic bit holder that stores 5 bits and can be attached to battery power drills.
Can be mounted on both sides of the tools. Just flip the model in the slicer.
There are two plates.
One is generic with flat sides and the second has a bump that indexes with Makita LXT tools geometry for more stability.
While testing it I have not any issues with bits falling out. While ordering magnets, keep in mind that strength is important - you want strongest possible.
Printing:
It uses pause command to stop at specific layer to make inserting magnets possible.
Important:
Prepare magnets by lining them flat with alternating polarity. Otherwise they will not stay in place.
Tolerance is important here. Magnets I used were hold snugly in place.
If the holes are too big than tiny drop of a superglue can be used under every magnet. Make sure it will not squeeze to the top.
If opposite - feel free to edit model to your liking. I have attached Fusion file.
Hardware:
Round magnets size: 8x2.8mm (measured with calipers)
Screw: M4x20 (or any length required by the drill model)
