Moza R3 Dash Mount

A removable dash or DDU for the Moza R3 wheel base. It may fit other Moza bases, if there are M3 threads in the base top, at a 90mm spacing. 

The mount is dovetailed, with a low stop surface, so that the dash can easily be mounted and removed by hand without tools. This way, if you happen to leave your wheel stand assembled at your desk like I do, you can slide the the screen off and set it to the side you can use your keyboard and mouse like normal. You can also just remove it for games you don't use it for. I've logged maybe 20 or so hours with the dash mounted on the dovetails with zero signs of it sliding or loosening.

I set the height of the unit to be just clearing the ESX wheel, depending on viewing angle. The screen is also angled forward about 5 degrees of the base, since I keep my wheel angled back from me. The IPS screen doesn't seem picky about the angle in terms of being able to see the screen clearly. 

The wide size was a personal choice, and is a 1280x400 display. You'll need to set this display size on any dash in Simhub you opt to use, in order for the dashboard to fill the full display width, though I found that leaving the default dash size will allow for the dash to be displayed as a smaller square. Works either way.

Print both parts flat on their back side. I recommend 4 perimeters, but you can leave the infill light around 15%. I used rectilinear for speed, it's not under any real strain. The screen housing will need some basic supports. The base mount does not. 

***Be sure and clear 100% of your support material from the housing interior. The screen should just be able to slide in with minimal effort. No clearance was specifically made for the brightness adjustment button located on the rear of the screen. You should be able to depress the button and flex the housing just a little for it to pass through. Over 3 or 4 revisions of this housing, I never had any real trouble getting the button through***
