A tool to effortlessly wash rice and remove starch.

Washing rice can be a hassle, especially when cooking small quantities.

Not anymore!

1. Place the tool on top of a soup bowl (mine has a 16 cm diameter).
2. Add a cup of rice.
3. Pour in water. Just enough to match the rice level. More would be a waste.
4. Stir the rice.
5. Lift the tool to drain the water (and starch), then empty the bowl.
6. Repeat steps a few times (3–5 cycles, depending on the type of rice) until the water runs clear.
7. You can leave the rice in the tool to dry after washing.

Quick, easy, no mess, and no rice lost down the sink while draining!

For printing: Use supports on the base only, with the grid side facing the build plate.

It is recommended to use small layer lines and food-safe certified filament (e.g., [1], [2]), and to  clean with soapy water and alcohol before and after use. Using baking soda is also a good idea. See here for more information.

Originally designed for a 16 cm diameter bowl. Feel free to request variants in different sizes if needed.
