Dama de Elche

The Lady of Elche (Spanish: Dama de Elche, Valencian: Dama d'Elx) is an ancient limestone bust that was discovered in 1897 at La Alcudia, an archaeological site near Elche, Spain. It is a remarkable example of Iberian sculpture, dating back to the 4th century BC.   

The bust is believed to represent a woman, possibly a goddess or a priestess, adorned with elaborate jewelry and a complex headdress. The intricate details and the serene expression of the face make it a masterpiece of ancient art.   

The Lady of Elche is currently exhibited in the National Archaeological Museum of Spain in Madrid. It is a significant cultural symbol for Spain and a testament to the rich artistic heritage of the Iberian civilization.
