Description

A Lamp which can be turned on by moving two magnets close to each other.

Needed parts:

3D printed parts, see attached STLs.
12V Power supply
12V LED Strip
End Stop Switch or "Micro Switch" with roller
2 pieces of string
some wire
2 Magnets in cylindrical form: D=10mm, L=5mm
M3 Nuts and Bolts for mounting the microswitch. The main case parts need to be glued, I used "UHU Allplast" glue for plastics. You can use short lengths of filament to align all parts.

Micrsoswitch

The dimensions of the microswitch (black body): 27.8mm x 15.8mm x 9.8mm

the microswitch breaks contact on the positive lead to the LED strip

How I Designed This

I used Autodesk Inventor for modeling work and printed the parts on Prusa i3 Mk3.
