Description
Adjusting the +5V on the 400-5198-01Y PSU inside of a New Astro City is pretty cumbersome. You need a small screwdriver, lower it through a hole, and then hopefully hit the pot inside the PSU to adjust the voltage, without shorting something. This thing makes that process much easier and safer.
This pot extender is keyed to fit on top of the voltage pot. It also has a tab at the top that secures it in place, meaning you can't lift it up either. The tip that sticks out of the PSU when assembled is sized for these pot knobs that you can find all over the internet.
Two versions are available. The one called “_low” has a lower top tab of 2mm, creating more clearance to the top of the case, since all PSU might not be the same. Try which one fits the best.
The slot at the bottom is for helping you see and place the extender correctly on the pot.
The PCB of the PSU is held in place by six screws and is very easy to disassemble.
