Description
Stimpak (or Stimpack) from Fallout 4, modeled from scratch in Blender.
In addition to the printed parts, you'll need a glass vial (10ml / 3 dram, 19mm diameter by 65mm long) filled with red liquid, some copper wire, a pin (I used a round-headed quilter's pin), and a printed face for the gauge (PDF included). Since those vials are apparently difficult to find individually, I've found that test tubes commonly sold in hobby stores (15mm by 100mm) work fairly well if you cut them down and wrap a little Tamiya masking tape around the ends to hold them snugly in place. Or you can buy a 10-pack of vials that fit really well from here.
Important: You may be tempted to lay the clips (on the end of the arms) down flat on their large faces. Resist that temptation! Because they're so thin, they will snap at the slightest pressure instead of flexing, if you print them that way. Support them and print them upright, the way the STL is oriented, so that any flexing will occur along the printed layers. Also, if you want to smooth them, I highly recommend using a self-leveling resin, such as XTC-3D, which will strengthen them as well as smoothing them.
The original game model had a slightly bent clip on the end of the left arm. I've recreated this, but I've also included a "straight" version that mirrors the right clip.
