Description
The last and only drying-rack you will ever print ;o)
After printing and trying countless drying racks, stands and devices for all the water bottles we use for sports I couldn't find a single one that fits my needs. They either are too narrow, too flimsy or tip over when fully loaded because they are not wide enough at the base.
Therefore I created “Dry-Pod”, a universal drying rack for almost every bottle out there. The wide and beefy base provides a secure stand even when loaded with tall or heavy bottles like thermal-insulated glass bottles. Two or three drying-towers securely hold bottles with openings from 25 - 70 mm.
Any liquid from the jars is collected in the base element and can drain off through an opening in the front right into your kitchen sink. To ensure a complete drainage without flooding your counter top, the base has a 10x15mm recess to fit over your sink. If you don't need the drainage-function you can print a version without.
The Dry-Pod available in 4 different versions:
3 Elements with drainage (My choice)
3 Elements without drainage
2 Elements with drainage
2 Elements without drainage
The versions with the drainage hole need supports for the recess and maybe for the opening (depends on the bridging-capabilities of your printer). The largest version took about 6h to print on my Mk3.5S (0.2 mm, 15% infill, 2 perimeters).
If you have any suggestions for improvement leave me a comment (I'm rather inexperienced in 3d modeling). I've also made a kitchen sponge holder in a similar design you might want to check out.
Happy printing :)
Update: If you don't need the recess check out the remix by Adeta
