Description
My Brita pitcher lid broke, and it took way too many revisions due to the infernal mechanism that lifts the lid. Both due to the poor design which puts too much leverage on the very thin hinge plastic on the lid flap it’s highly likely to break. Suffer no more, I printed this in PETG with 1 wall, 10% cubic infill, tree support, and a cube modifier over the hinge area with 100% infill, to make the entire hinge solid.
The bottom of my pitcher has a sticker that says its a ‘Champlain Model No. 0861/0803’.
Print on its side with tree support to ensure maximum strength in the hinge area, I included an orcaslicer .3mf project file with my settings for an X1C.
