Rubbermaid Mop Bucket Wheel Caster Adapter

Have worn out wheels/casters on your rubbermaid mop bucket? Or are you tired of the poor quality wheels and need an upgrade? These threaded adapters will allow you to adapt a caster with an M10 thread to be inserted into the mop bucket the same was as the original casters. 

For mop buckets that use the 7570L2 style casters.

In my case, I had some extra wheels that came off a piece of furniture. I created this instead of buying another set of the rubbermaid casters.

I put an extra washer between the caster and the spacer to help keep the wheel stabilized. It may not be necessary depending on which casters you use.  To account for variations in the threads and printer accuracy, I added in a slit on the side to allow for some expansion/contraction and achieving a perfect fit, as the wheels are friction fit into the bucket.

UPDATES:

There is now an improved V2 for the M10 adapter with a flange and slightly oversized threaded opening to allow the casters to be inserted easier. I also removed the notch as it wasn't needed.

I have also made a version to use standard office chair wheels (7/16"/11mm)
