Accessibility - Jar / Pop Bottle and Ring Tab Can Opener

Easy-to-use aid for threaded pop bottles, jars (30mm to 80mm), and ring-tab cans, perfect for those with arthritis or weak hands.  Grips are cushioned and conform to fingers to aid in grip.  Six pre-defined sizes (80mm, 70mm, 60mm, 50mm, 40mm and 30mm) slots available.

Printing Tips

• Recommend using a multifilament printer with outer area in PLA or PETG  for main zone.  For finger grips and and jar/bottle grip area use a rubber flex type filament (eg. TPU) at 20% infill and 0.2mm layer height.

• For finger grip areas use a fuzzy skin modifier (PrusaSlicer) to enhance grip.

• Print on either side and use snug or organic supports.

Usage

• Do not try to open jars >80mm since it could result in the model snapping.  Ribbed interior with 20% infill compresses to shape of lid to improve grip.

• Side hook can be slipped under ring pull tab and the use lever to pull tab and attached can top open.
