Mini Tool Box Base

Inspired by the US General mini tool box from Harbor Freight, this 3 drawer base is for my 3D printed mini tool box found here: https://www.printables.com/model/1166804-mini-tool-box

This 3 drawer base uses the same drawers as my other box, but with an extra top drawer. You have a choice between gridfinity and flat bottom drawers. This base box uses a separately printed rail that slots into the top to securely hold the mini tool box in place, and has an optional extended rail so you can put the real thing on top as well. I have confirmed fitment with the US General and Kobalt boxes. Please leave a comment if you find other brands that fit.

For the drawers, the support settings are not as critical, but the base was a little bit tricky. You will need to use manual normal supports for the base, with the style set to snug. The support areas are already painted in the print profile so all you should need to do is apply the recommended support setting and it should be automatic from there.

My print settings are the same as with the mini tool box, 3 walls and 15% infill. Designed to fit on a 256mmx256mm print bed but it can be scaled down to fit smaller printers. Just keep in mind you will not be able to fit a store bought metal mini tool box if you scale it down.
