NOMA Snow Racer front ski replacement

The first challenge I had when designing this replacement ski was the size. I had to split it in two to fit my PRUSA MK3S. The second one was to make it strong enough not to brake on first trial. Thanks to PRUSA Live 10 guest from mysuperbike", it gave me the idea how to create a strong link between the two parts. The rest was to adapt my design to 3D printer and get ready for my longest prints. I used PRUSAMENT PET urban grey color, the filament is nicely rolled on the spool. The last thing you want during a long print is a tangled filament!

I used epoxy to glue the parts together. Then added 4 stainless steel flat head socket cap screws and lock nuts to bolt them.

The ski was printed beginning of last winter. The refurbished snow racer is on his second year and as you can see on the picture below, there is an happy grandson always ready to challenge me for a race on our public park slope.
