Description
A switch guard/shroud designed for the dashboard mounted winch switch on the Kawasaki KRX 1000, but can also be used on some of the other dash switches as well. Its purpose is to simply reduce the chance of accidental activation and potential burn-out of the winch and electronics.
Watch @TheKRXPatrol comments on YouTube:
There are three different wall heights included, 25, 30 and 35mm. The 25mm should offer good protection without protruding above the dash too much.
For best long-term results, print the switch guard in ASA to resist ultraviolet light. However, if your KRX in stored indoors, PETG (or even PLA) should last for many years. Printing layers at 0.2 or 0.32mm works well and the infill percent does not matter. The finer the layers, the better the top radius of the guard will look. This might be a good candidate to try the “Variable layer height” option in PrusaSlicer.
