Capacity
My all-in-one holder is designed to securely organize the following camera accessories from Peak Design in a compact and efficient way:

  • Peak Design - Capture (Adapter Clip + PL-S-3 Standard Plate)
  • Peak Design - Anchor Mount
  • Peak Design - Dual Plate

Additionally, the holder has storage space for spare parts:

  • 1x Thumbscrew
  • 1x Long Screw with Allen key
  • 1x Allen key
  • 2x Ancor
  • Up to 3x Camera Ancor Adapter

Required Materials
For building this holder, you will need:

  • 1 x Rod ⌀4mm x 55 (or slightly shorter)
  • 1 x Rod ⌀4mm x 121 (or slightly shorter)
  • 1 x Allen key
  • 1 x Threaded Insert M5
  • 1 x Nut M5
  • 1 x PTFE tube ⌀4 x 2.6mm 
  • 1 x PTFE tube ⌀4 x 3.0mm

Optional Materials:

  • 1 x Magnet ⌀3 x 6mm (to secure the Allen key)
  • 3 x Magnets 5 x 5 x 2 (to hold magnetic parts securely)

 

 

3D Printing - Settings

Print the parts in your preferred colors. I used the following parameters (printed on a Prusa Mini):

  • Layerheight: 0.2mm 
  • Perimeter: 2
  • Bottom Layers: 5
  • Top Layers: 5
  • Infill: 22% Gyroid
  • All parts are printed in PLA
     
  • Supports:
    Mandatory Support: The overhang at the Allen key joint requires support to ensure a clean and accurate print. Be sure to enable supports for this specific area.
  • For other overhangs, supports may be helpful but are not always necessary, depending on your printer's settings and calibration. (Longest Bridge is 20mm)
  • Tip: For areas holding threaded inserts, consider increasing the infill to improve durability
  • 2 generic-cubus are added for surface adhesion on small perimeter.

If you use the 3mf file, all settings and modifications should be available for you.

 

 

Assembly

1.1 Threaded Inserts, Nut and PTFE Tubes

  • Insert the threaded insert into the designated area in the holder.
  • Place the M5 nut into its corresponding slot
  • Install the 2 x PTFE-Tubes for the Dual Plate and PL-S-3 Standard Plate. Ensure the mechanism fits tightly into the designated slots and allows secure but removable placement of the plates. To short or to long tubes might not work or damage the print!

(1.2 Optional: Attach Magnets)

  • Insert the ⌀3mm x 6mm magnet to secure the Allen key.
  • Place the three 5mm x 5mm x 2mm magnets in the designed spaces to keep the magnetic components in place.

2. Assemble the Holder

  • Insert the long rod (121mm) through all the necessary holes, connecting the middle-Joint and the Allenkey-Joint with the Right-Side plate
  • Lay the partially assembled holder on a flat surface.
  • Fit the Left-Side plate into the assembled Joints. 
  • Slide the short rod (55mm) into the middle-joint and the Left-Side plate.
  • Insert the Allenkey for stability
  • Fold the two parts together, and push on the End-Joint. This step might require a small amount of force.

3. Finish the Build

  • Insert the Screws in their designed treaded insert and nut.
  • Attach all the Peak Design mounts and accessories to their respective spots.
