Description

This is adjustable arm for mounting lightweight objects. On one side it has VESA 75mm mount. On the other side 35mm monitor pole mount.

I'm using it to mount Raspberry Pi Display Touch 2 + this enclosure:
https://www.printables.com/model/1071718-raspberry-pi-touch-display-2-case

VESA 75 mm plates contain holes for 4mm screws. One VESA plate is with mount point in center and other with mount point on one side.

Parts:

  • 15x15mm aluminum square tube of desired length
  • few hex head M5 screws, various lengths (sorry, didn't write lengths of these).  If you don't have such type you can use other M5 screw and just put nut on it to make “hex-head” that way
  • 6 self locking (or regular) M5 nuts
  • multiple knobs. Use whatever knobs you want but best is to use bigger (because some force is required to tighten these on arm) but not huge ones (to avoid collisions). I used knobs from:
    • https://www.printables.com/model/359479-handles-for-m3-to-m6-bolts-and-screws
    • https://www.printables.com/model/272115-knurled-m3-m8-thumbscrews (M4, for mounting RPi Display Touch 2 enclosure)
  • 4x M4 screws if you want to mount the same enclosure and you choose “Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 Case VESA 75 Heat Set.stl” variant with M4 heat inserts
  • It's worth printing plate (sphere part) and vesa-1-mount parts with 0.1/0.1mm fuzzy face (using modifier when it makes sense or as a whole part) for a way better grip

Orient parts correctly (often on sides), so layer lines will make print stronger. Print. Install 3x M5 nuts in “arm-mount-back.stl”. Rest of nuts and screws install in knobs. Each hinge is a knob with a long screw and second knob with a nut on the other side.

Printed from PETG, no supports, no special options needed.

Fusion and step files are available if you want to make any adjustments.
