Ergonomic Razor Blade Holder Remix | Print Bed Scraper
This is a remixed design of the original razor blade holder, enhanced for better ergonomics and usability. Ideal for cleaning your 3D printer bed or even ceramic hobs, this tool uses either 3D-printed plastic razor blades (link) or commercial blades (not tested).
The holder consists of two parts:
- The base, where the blade is inserted.
- A top cover, which slides into place to secure the blade.
✅ What’s Improved?
- Ergonomic Design: The handle is now longer and better shaped for a comfortable grip.
- Easy Storage: Added a hole for hanging, compatible with IKEA Skådis hooks or self-printed hooks.
- Cleaned Design: Retained the functional two-part assembly but improved usability.
📃 Print Settings
- Material: PETG recommended for durability, PLA or other materials may also work.
- Layer Height: Example printed at 0.08mm for detail, but this is optional.
- Supports: None required.
🛠 How to Use
- Print the holder in the provided orientation without supports.
- Insert the razor blade into the base.
- Slide the top cover into place to lock the blade securely.
- Use the added hole for easy storage when not in use.
