Description
UPDATED 11/Apr/2025: Now includes 2 models - one uses the original rubber band, the other mounts to the handlebars with a 2-piece clamp (based on samster395's customizable mount - printables.com/model/255460-customizable-handlebar-mount). Clamp is sized for 22.2mm handlebars, uses two short M4 bolts (and nuts).
This is a replacement for the hard plastic portion of the handlebar mount for a bike light (sold under various manufacturer names - Cevadama, Teminice, Balhvit and possibly others). It holds the light in via mostly friction fit, with a small latch at the front - I broke this latch on my original mount and therefore modeled this replacement.
At present this requires the original rubber band designed to fit between the mount and handlebar to provide grip and holding power around the handlebar. However, the top light-holding section could be instead combined with some other kind of handlebar mounting solution (and I might in future design an alternative version to do this).
Printing requires supports - I have successfully printed in PLA with the mount lying on its side, it remains to be seen how hard-wearing PLA is in outdoor conditions.
ADDITIONAL: Please check out JR’s model for a replacement mounting bracket part on the light itself: https://www.printables.com/model/1234611-replacement-bike-light-mounting-bracket-for-cevada
