Description

I have seen various tool organizer designs, but they were all kind of huge, or bulky, and were designed to hold a wide variety of tools. They looked like they would eat up a ton of filament to print. I wanted a simple organizer or caddy that would hold the tools that I use most often, and one where the tools are the main focus. I came up with the original Minimal Tool Organizer, and then this version 2 tool organizer, and it works well (for me). This version 2 design uses ~46% less filament than the original version (when sliced at 100% infill, which is what I printed mine with).

There are two models, one with 1 glue stick socket, and one with two. I use the second socket for a small flashlight.

Some people might see this design and ask why I didn't include slots for nozzle cleaners, wrenches, hex tools, etc. The answer is simple. I use those tools very infrequently, and I can get them out of my storage box when I need them. I wanted to have available, at my fingertips, just the tools that I regularly use, most of which are for the post printing process.

The scrapers and the filament clips are not my design, but I use them, so I designed around them. Here are the links to those:

The filament clips:

I acknowledge that people have a wide variety of tools that they prefer to use. It is unlikely that another 3D printing enthusiast would use the exact same tools. Thus, this design is very customized. However, I thought that I would share it because it might give someone an idea on how they might design their own custom tool organizer in a minimalist way.
