Sofle RGB Case

I really liked the original model, but after starting to print it I noticed it had a number of flaws or incompatibilities with my kit (https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHHvSdO), so I fixed it. This version works for sofle keyboards that use low profile headers for the microcontrollers, and full height headers for the oled screen

Changes and improvements:

• Added fillets to every switch hole, the original model had a number of them missing
• reworked screw holes to make them easier to print
• updated microcontroller front slot to use low profile headers
• updated oled covers for full size headers and matched oled position. Also matched fillets with the rest of the keyboard
• fixed TRRS port position on the left side
• reworked potentiometer knobs to allow using m3 grubscrews

Case mounting hardware

• 2 M3 grubscrews with length < 6mm for the potentiometer knobs, use what you have and will probably work
• 10 M2x6 standoffs (the brass hex ones)
• 20 M2x3 SHCS screws, you could use button head but the case looks better with socket heads
• 20 2x1 magnets

Magnets...

I didn't change the fact that the case needs 2x1 magnets, but be warned that they are painful to install, they are extremely light and attracted to anything metal, making assembly a mess. The original holes are also a bit oversized so magnets will not pressfit and be loose in their housing.

What I ended up using as my mounting process is as follows:

• pick magnet with a pair of reverse tweezers (the ones that stay closed without pressing them) with ceramic tips, the magnet won't be attracted and will behave nicely
• place the magnet on the backside of a pair of flat tip tweezers to keep it in place 
• put some superglue on the tip of a toothpick, and coat the exposed side of the magnet. Using the superglue bottle directly will end up in 
  • you putting too much
  • the magnet is all sticky
  • oh damn it stuck to the tweezer
  • grab it with the ceramic tweezers
  • try pulling it off, it's already stuck
  • pull more, it detached
  • now it's stuck to the nice ceramic tweezers
  • i hate 2x1 magnets
• place the magnet in the magnet hole of your choice
• slide the  tweezers away from the magnet, and as soon as a slight gap is created push the magnet with the toothpick you used before (using the non-supergluey side)
• do this 20 times and you will have wonderful magnetic covers, yay!

Oled covers

please test fit the oled covers before gluing magnets to them, so you can be sure the screens sit properly in the hole on the cover and don't push up because yours are too tall

Case feet?

you may have noticed that in my pictures there are holes for some round feet. It didn't work nicely enough for me since the slightest issue with the bridged portion of the feet hole would result in a wobbly keyboard, so I removed them from the design

Firmware

I made almost from scratch a firmware for the Sofle keyboard using qmk and vial, you can find it at https://github.com/HitLuca/vial-qmk-sofle. Please note that it's not full of functionalities or super polished, but it works for me and I'll keep it updated if need arises.
