Description
I made this sheath from scratch in Rhino. There was another model someone made that was similar, but it fit a different style OXO 4" cutter that was flat on 1 side. This Pizza cutter (link below via Amazon) has the connector arm that appears on both sides of the wheel. Because of this difference in a possibly newer design by OXO, I created this design.
There is a tab I made for your thumb to hold while pulling on the blade to release it/place it. The file as is/by default is for placing/removing the cutter with it held in the left hand and holding the tab your right hand . If you wish to hold the tab with your left and hold the cutter in your right hand, mirror the file along the X axis.
**** I've made an optional printable test piece that measures 108mm in diameter. I found my original print was a bit tight but still worked OK, so I scaled the model up by about 5mm to make it 108mm. The test piece is an exact slice from the 108mm file. ***
Magnet info: I found that the design only needs 2 magnets. I wasn't sure of the pull force so I made 3 holes. Leave the middle hole without a magnet. I doubt you will need it. The magnets protrude only .1mm from the surface of the print, which works completely fine. Glue the magnets one at a time to be safe from them sticking together and use strong tape over them to keep them from sticking to other things or each other. I used super glue after sanding the magnet surface with 120 grit to give the glue a little more adhesion when applying them to the print.
No supports are needed for the lettering. The bridging will be ok without supports.
