The files have been updated to simplify assembly, especially when connecting the parts using filament. Additionally, the left and right top parts can now be joined with an double hinge, allowing the board to fold completely for easier storage. This also makes it more convenient to use the board with thicker clothing, such as hoodies.

In the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper famously uses a clothes folding board to neatly and efficiently fold his laundry. Inspired by this clever tool, I created a 3D-printed version for home use. It ensures perfectly aligned folds every time, making it a must-have for anyone who loves organized wardrobes. It's also super handy for kids, as it turns folding clothes into a fun and easy task, helping them learn tidiness and responsibility.
The folding board is easy to print and designed for large 3D printers. I printed it on an Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus with a 1mm nozzle, but it can also fit on slightly smaller machines like the Sovol SV06 Plus if scaled down to 97%.
The largest part measures 305mm x 250mm, so your print bed must be at least that size to print at 100% scale. When printed at the original size, the entire board measures approximately 70cm x 60cm (27.5 in x 23.6 in), making it perfectly suited for standard clothing sizes.
The design includes two side locks to prevent incorrect folding. These locks fit snugly to maintain a tight grip even after repeated use. For convenient storage, the board can be folded in half and hung in your closet.
The parts are connected with filament pieces that should be melted at the ends using a lighter.
To build the board you need one of each plates and two locks. The entire print at 100% scale weighs around 840 grams, so one roll of filament is sufficient.
