Vento for Core One Activated Carbon/HEPA filter

Vento is a refillable activated carbon/ HEPA filter mod designed for the Prusa Core One. Simple to print, easy to install. It uses magnets and self-align to the exhaust fan opening with the help of m3 screws attached to the rear panel of the Core One. 

IMPORTANT

• Please read the instruction guide below.
• I do my best to double-check and test the print profile I create. They are up to date with whatever changes I made to the designs. 
• I have set the grid density to 20%. If you need a denser grid, u can increase the grid density in the slicer settings. 
• I bought the HEPA filter from AliExpress. It is meant for iLife V5 robot vacuum cleaner. The given dimensions are 80x40x15mm but the actual size is 81x42x15mm. I design the Vento using the exact size to have a proper snug fitting (very important)

Vento for Core One design is now stable. I have changed the licensing to Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial. 

UPDATE 15 FEB 2025

Vento is now out of beta stage. Several Core One owners have tested it and provided feedback. Thank you very much. I have made some minor updates to the design based on the inputs.

• M3x8mm SHCS -4pcs
• 6x3mm round magnets - 8pcs
• 5mm(wide) x 2mm(thick) self-adhesive EVA tape
• Superglue to secure the magnets

You can purchase the activated carbon pellets and HEPA filters from vendors who support this project. Support local/regional businesses.

PRINT INSTRUCTIONS

This is a simple print. No support is needed. The settings are optimized to use just the right amount of filament (~90gm) to ensure lightweight and still maintain rigidity. I printed the prototype in PLA.

Download the 3mf file for PrusaSlicer. The settings are prepared to produce the gyroid grids.

INSTALLATION GUIDE

Note: you will need to fill the Vento with activated carbon pellets before installing the HEPA filter. The fitting has to be snug and pressed against the pellets. This is to prevent the carbon from settling down when placed vertically.
