Description
Still a work-in-progress. Please see the “Differences of the remix compared to the original” section below for more details.
INSTALL THE "Y Endstop Assembly v4" BEFORE INSTALLING THE Y-AXIS MOTOR/ASSEMBLY OR THE Y-AXIS LINEAR RAIL. IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO INSTALL THE ENDSTOP ASSEMBLY IF BOTH THE MOTOR AND RAIL ARE INSTALLED FIRST!
I recommend Ferfi's x-belt tensioner design over the V-Minion 1.1's tensioner as the M5x35 Square Head Screw they use is nearly impossible to source and I couldn't find any longer ones either. I recommend installing this before the linear rail, slide the square t-nuts into the extrusion first, then slide on the tensioner. I found it a lot easier to move the t-nuts into position and screw the bolts in than to install the t-nuts and bolts onto the tensioner first before installing to the extrusion.
Remove/poke through the components highlighted in BLUE in the screenshots after printing. They aid in printing a supportless model.
If you're having trouble sourcing an oldham coupler, consider using this instead: https://www.printables.com/model/675516-v-minion-wobblex-adapter Thanks to Rod for the recommendation.
Recommend PETG, ABS, or ASA for everything except the footpads, which should be printed in TPU.
Strongly recommend using the UHP-350-24 Meanwell Power Supply with this 3D printer.
UPDATE 2/11/25:
Updated Side_Legs_Assembly_MODIFIED file with thinner tearaway support. Easier to remove, and less likely to tear out the perimeter of the rest of the print.
Added 3030_mgn_captive, to be installed between the z-axis linear rail and the z motor cage. This will help prevent the carriage block from losing its ball bearings if the carriage drops.
Updated UCTRONICS MicroSD Extender mount image to highlight holes meant to be poked through post-print.
Added z_decoupler_mount_MODIFIED_WobbleX
UPDATE 2/20/25:
Added x-axis and z-axis extrusion LED strip mounts.
