The lever arm is longer, providing additional leverage

The lever's width is wider, providing more material around the fulcrum (a weaker part of the original design)  After about 1000 cuts it would break.

in the new design, I am using the following hardware on the lever:

2 x M3x16mm screws (BHSC)

1 x M3 washer (used on the screw at fulcrum)

2 x M3 nylock-nuts

screws and nuts should be tightened only enough to minimize any play but not so hard as to restrict movement of the lever arm.

The blade was changed to a #10 curved exacto blade instead of a straight cutting blade.

blade is cut down to fit into the blade holder and then super glue in place.  There is a picture of the blade measurement and modification.

Same other hardware used in original version of this cutter

2 x 15mm x 4mm springs

2 x 50mm M3 Socket Cap Screws

2 x M3 nuts

1 x Exacto blade (your choice)

some super glue

BUMPER ARM (You will only need one of the two options, either for mount directly to extrusion or to be mounted on top of an extrusion backer plate)

Bumper arms have the support material encorporated into the file,  you do not need supports for those (or any other items) in the STLs provided.

For the bumper arm (that the cutter lever will push up against) I have included two bumper arms.

One of the arms is intended to be used on top of the Voron Extrusion Backer Plates.

The other bumper arm is two millimeters taller so that it can be installed directly onto the gantry extrusion.

CAUTION: USING THE WRONG BUMPER ARM WILL RESULT IN THE X-AXIS GANTRY COMING INTO CONTACT WITH THE BUMPER.  BE SURE TO CHECK THAT YOU HAVE PRINTED AND INSTALLED THE PROPER BUMPER ARM ON THE X/Y GANTRY AND THAT YOUR GANTRY MOVES WITHOUT COMING INTO CONTACT WITH THE BUMPER.
