Display and Dust Shield for IKEA Kallax

Let's kick off February with a handy little dust and display shield for the IKEA Kallax if its your collection display unit of choice!

There might be a little variance in each little cubby hole of a IKEA Kallax but for most parts, this should fit nicely.

The edge pieces simply side over the edges of the acrylic sheet and should be snug enough to stay in place. Otherwise a small dab of super glue probably won't hurt.

In addition, we have a variant of this edge piece which comes with slots where you can put in one or two 5x3mm round magnets to help remove the shield more easily from the cubby.

When installed, the shield actually has a flat front, which makes it harder to remove (as intended). But using the magnetic version allows you to use a metal object to attract one of the corners and gently move it forward to remove the shield as you require.

=== Assembly ===

Included is the diagram showing how the parts for this go together. Importantly, you will need to have a 300x300 x2mm acrylic sheet which functions as the main viewing window.

As for the magnets (if you choose to use them), simply print the alternate KallaxDustShield_(magnets) file. And you can put up to two 5x3mm circular magnets in each of the slots.
