Description
I built on @bensonk's model by using larger, embedded magnets. I also increased the height in order to increase the size of the contact patch with the skis/boards. Finally, I added a lip on the center nub to hook around boards.
The magnets are 1.26 inch diameter, and .126 thick. You will need 2 per print, so 4 per completed strip. I used these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C2N1L2C?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
In order to print and embed magnets: place the strip with the fins oriented vertically, turn supports ON, block supports in the internal cutouts using support blockers, insert a pause in your slicer on the layer before the internal cavities are covered over (this should be somewhere between layer 212 and 215 if you are printing at .2 later height). When the printer pauses, insert magnets into the cavities and resume printing, and you're good to go!
