Dwarflab Dwarf 3 2" M48 0.75 adapter with shade

A 4-in-1 adapter solution for the Dwarflab Dwarf 3 smart telescope using magnets.
It has built-in:

• 2 inch filter adapter
• Bahtinov mask
• Lens shade
• Dew shield

The filter is screwed on the bottom of the shade so that it can benefit from the dew shield lamels inside the shade.

The model uses two types of magnets:
6x   5mm x 2mm (to attach the shade to the shade holder)
2x   10mm x 1mm (to attach the base to the Dwarf 3 unit)

!NB Please note that the pole of the two base magnets is essential since the Dwarf 3 has magnets inside, too. Test if the magnets attach to the Dwarf 3 before gluing them to the base. 
Also, the three smaller magnets on the shade mount and the three on the shade should have opposite polarity so that the shade attaches to the mount.

The assembly is pretty straightforward:

1. Check the way the 10mm magnets attach to the Dwarf 3 and glue them in the correct way to the base
2. Insert three of the 5mm magnets in the shade mount (you might need to use a drop of glue)
3. Check the polarity of the other three 5mm magnets so that they attach to the ones on the shade mount and insert them in the shade (you might need to use a drop of glue)
4. Check if everything attaches correctly to each other
5. Glue the shade mount to the base with the K logo pointing outside

Printing instructions:

• Use black PETG/ABS/PC/ASA
• Since the threads for the filter in the shade base are really dellicate, I strongly recommend using adaptive layer hight, so that the bottom with the threads is printed with 0.08mm layer hight, or just print the shole shade in 8mm layer hight.
• No supports are needed

The adapter has been tested with Svbony SV220. It screws and sits perfectly inside the filter mount, and it could take thicker filters too. The shade does not obstruct the field of view of the telephoto camera.

NB! Since the shade is tall, the lens can't close itself with the adapter on, which is a part of the calibration procedure, so to avoid any damage, please put it on after the tracking starts!!!
