Description
I needed a good looking and realistically sized and shaped model of a horseshoe for a different project and after a hour of unsuccessful searching and printing I designed my own. I used a rather old and worn horseshoe from my girlfriends horse (Size 2, back leg ;) as a template and it turned out pretty good.
The prong-thingies on the back ("Aufzüge" in german, don't know the english word for it) that prevent the horseshoe from sliding when nailed to the hoof weren't really necessary so I ignored them. This comes with the additional advantage that you can print the model flat on the bed without the need for fancy supports.
You can use the model for decoration, as a new-year or good-luck gift, as a toy for a horseshoe-throwing-game or just as a template to make something cool. I included the 3mf-file for easier remixing/developing. Please message me if you have any use for it for an own idea, I'd love to see it!
Happy printing :)
