SPG Benchy

SPG Benchy. The split version is easier to print and allows for a choice of the main gun style. Choosing the split version makes even more sense when you consider that the gun is likely the hardest bit for an fdm printer to print in the single print version. Printing the gun separately makes for a quick small print that is easily redone in case of any print issue. The split version also has the 2 small front shackles removed to again aid in printing. At some stage I will come back to the SPG and remove the shackles from the single print version as well, I only left them there in the original as I'd intended printing a large version but never got around to it before the Benchy takedowns of 2024.

After the Printables takedown of one of my Benchy cored models due to the original Benchy licence restrictions, I deleted ALL my Benchy cored models. With the recent release of the Benchy into the public domain it has opened the door to re upload the models I had previously deleted (if I can even find them all in my backups and I didn't delete them all).  

When I created and uploaded the Binky fleet as replacements, I moved or deleted the original models from my primary back up drive altogether so they may not all come back. 

All the photos and print guides are likely long gone apart from a few images I used elsewhere. As such the only files and info here are likely to be minimal with only the actual models being provided along with perhaps a couple of old pictures.

Note:- When I created the new BINKY fleet to replace the Benchy, I continued upgrading and improving ‘the Binky versions’ while at the same time abandoning any additional improvements to the Benchy versions. After the takedowns I lost all interest in working on any of the Benchy models altogether. TLDR? Binky models are easier to print and continued getting improvements, while Benchy model improvements fell by the wayside.
