Description
with a standard gravel cleaner it is often hard to get into tight corners or in the deep under water jungle. This device will clean every corner with ease and because you don't stick it in the ground it doesn't harm your plants.
Idea is that you blast a water jet with a pipette and then suck the upcoming dirt with the attached hose - simple but efficient.
You need a big pipette (you get it in your pet store or online, see the picture) and a 9/12mm hose in a length that is good to use for a water change (usually ~1m).
The idea is from aquadicted. If you don't have the pipette and hose already and just need the printed parts or you outside of shipping range, then please please buy it from aquadicted ( “Multi baster” on there website)
If you build it on your own - it would be nice if you like/comment/subscribe on their awsome youtube channel as a thanks for the great idea.
Print instructions
No special print instruction. I printed it from PLA, but TPU or PETg might be a better choise.
Assembly
put both parts on the tube - one with the big hole first.
The fit is tight! If to tight use a 11 / 11,5 or 12mm drill to fine tune it. But keep it as tight as possible (I just cleaned out imperfections with a 11mm drill)
Then put the pipette in.
Usage
press the pipette and then dip it into the water and then release the pressure. It will fill with water.
Then do usual water change procedure. but instead of dipping the gravel cleaner into the soil, just press the pipette and suck the dirt away.
